The South African Friendship Group in Korea, formerly known as the South African Ladies Club, was officially launched on 8 September 2005 as non-profit organisation with strong links to the South African Embassy, Seoul.

The SAFG is a voluntary, social organisation run by an elected committee.

Membership is open to anyone with a South African passport, the spouse of a passport holder or anyone with a special connection or close ties to the South African community.

Membership fees are currently W30 000 per annum, paid in January or a pro rata amount identified by the committee if a new member join later during the year. Non members are welcome at SAFG events such as the Year End Function, but pay more to attend.

At the SAFG you can meet new friends and enjoy the challenges of living in a new country. Social meetings are held regularly. By participating in events you could also help to support South African and Korean charities.

Our committee members are ready to answer your questions, welcome newcomers and help you access other useful organisations and resources. For further event details or membership information please contact the committee at ebenelsabe@hotmail.com

We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.
